The Kanji tab's character dictionary and stroke-order data come from two open datasets. Both are licensed under Creative Commons ShareAlike terms, which require us to credit them by name here.
KANJIDIC2
Character readings and meanings come from KANJIDIC2, property of the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group (EDRDG), used in accordance with the EDRDG's licence. Licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence.
KanjiVG
Stroke-order data comes from KanjiVG, copyright © Ulrich Apel. Licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported licence. We preprocess the raw SVG data server-side into structured stroke commands (see the Kanji tab's Strokes/Play/Practice tools); the underlying stroke-order data itself is KanjiVG's.
Kanjium
Pitch-accent data (the step-line diagram shown when Pitch accent is selected as the reading format) comes from Kanjium, copyright © Ulti Zerimar (mifunetoshiro). Licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence. Kanjium is itself partly derived from EDICT/KANJIDIC/ KRADFILE (EDRDG, credited above).
BenriDeck's own content (decks, stories, vocabulary, grammar, and kanji you create or study) is unrelated to these datasets and is not covered by their licences.
